Bhopal: The mercury soared to 43.5 degrees Celsius in Khargone making it the hottest district in the country on Wednesday, said officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle.
Due to changes in weather systems, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Khargone, Jabalpur, and places in the Shahdol division may see showers, the weather office said, adding that the weather would be largely dry in other parts of the state.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 41.1 degrees celsius. A degree above than normal mark, while night temperature was 24.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below
the normal mark. Winds blew westwards packing a speed of 18 kilometers per hour.
Satna saw 0.2 mm rain during the day. In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday the meteorological. officials predict ed clear sky and dry weather to prevail. Day and night temperature would hover around 41 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively, while the average wind speed will be around 16kmph.
For the rest of the state, the meteorological officials predicted clear sky and dry weather to prevail. No weather warning was issued for anywhere, the officials said.
